Move Out Policies & Procedures
Move Out Policies and Procedures
1. Tenant should notify Management of intent to move a minimum of 60 days prior to their intended move-out date.
2. Please let Management know if we can provide a gondola and extra strong garbage bags for any items that you would like thrown away as you are moving out. We would appreciate it if you would use those bags and place them in the gondola. The day porter will be able to remove the gondola daily, which will allow things to not accumulate for the night crew.
3. Please be advised the tenant is responsible for removing all low-voltage and communications wiring from within their leased premises at the time of move-out, unless otherwise approved by Management. Please contact Property Manager to verify the process before removing the low-voltage and communications wiring. All vacated space must be left in a clean, broom-swept condition, or tenant will be charged for cleanup costs. A Management Office representative will also tour the space immediately following your move-out, and it is recommended a responsible member of your company be present.
4. Please provide the company’s forwarding address. This will assist with the return of the security deposit, if applicable and not applied to any charges or past due amounts.
5. Make proper arrangements with your moving company. (See “Forms” section for Moving Company Requirements) (If you are not using a moving contractor, please call the Management Office for assistance in coordinating the use of the elevator and protection of building facilities).
- Your moving company must be a professional firm and present the appropriate liability insurance to the Management Office prior to the move. The Management Office reserves the right to deny the use of any moving company.
- All vendors (including movers) doing any work in the building must have an original, current certificate of insurance on file with the office of the building prior to the move. See the Insurance Certificate requirements.
6. Upon exit from the building, all suite keys must be returned. This includes suite entry keys, security access fobs and mailbox keys, if applicable. A lost card fee (per card) and re-keying charge for your suite will be applied to your last rent statement if the keys are not returned upon exit.
